Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Mihro uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies when users access the website and web application.

Mihro currently uses only strictly necessary and functional browser storage. Mihro does not currently use analytics cookies, marketing cookies, advertising pixels, heatmaps, or behavioral tracking scripts.

What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website or web application.

Local storage and session storage are browser-based storage technologies that help an application remember information such as preferences, session state, or user interface settings.

Mihro uses these technologies to operate the platform, keep users signed in, remember preferences, improve security, and provide a stable user experience.

Current Storage We Use

The current Mihro website and web application use these categories of storage:

Essential Cookies and Storage

These are required for the platform to work correctly and must remain enabled for authenticated app use.

Mihro uses essential storage for:

- user authentication tokens stored in local storage; - signed-in user context stored in local storage; - tenant subdomain context stored in local storage; - secure access to protected resident, admin, staff, and super admin pages; - logout and session cleanup; - language cookie and local storage needed to render the selected locale consistently.

Without essential cookies or storage, certain parts of Mihro may not function properly.

Preference Storage

Mihro stores functional preferences such as:

- selected language; - light or dark theme; - dashboard accent color; - PWA install prompt dismissal; - app-like behavior and interface preferences.

These preferences help provide a smoother and more personalized experience.

Security and Session Storage

Mihro uses browser storage to support:

- secure login sessions; - refresh or session restoration; - logout behavior; - role-based access; - tenant-scoped access; - security checks.

Authentication and session data are used to help ensure that residents, staff, and administrators can only access the information they are authorized to view.

Analytics and Performance Cookies

Mihro does not currently use Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, heatmaps, behavioral analytics cookies, or similar tracking scripts.

Because analytics and marketing storage are not currently used, Mihro does not show a cookie consent banner for non-essential tracking.

Marketing Cookies

Mihro does not currently use marketing cookies, retargeting cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking.

If analytics or marketing tools are added in the future, Mihro will update this Cookie Policy and add an appropriate consent mechanism before loading non-essential tracking.

How We Use Cookies and Storage

Mihro uses cookies and storage to:

- authenticate users; - keep users signed in; - remember language and interface preferences; - support PWA behavior; - protect accounts and sessions; - improve platform reliability; - provide role-based access to resident, admin, and staff features; - remember selected settings inside the application.

Third-Party Services

Mihro relies on trusted service providers for hosting, backend infrastructure, database services, email delivery, mobile build infrastructure, and operational support.

The current Mihro frontend does not include third-party analytics scripts, marketing pixels, heatmaps, or advertising embeds.

Some optional product features, such as camera viewer integrations or visitor pass links, may open or display customer-configured third-party services. Those services may have their own privacy and cookie practices.

Managing Cookies and Storage

You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Most browsers allow you to:

- view cookies; - delete cookies; - block cookies; - clear local storage; - clear session storage; - manage site permissions.

If you block or delete essential cookies or storage, some Mihro features may stop working correctly. You may need to log in again or reconfigure preferences.

PWA and Mobile App Behavior

Mihro may be used as a Progressive Web App on supported devices.

When added to a phone home screen, Mihro may use local storage, session storage, or similar mechanisms to keep the app experience consistent, remember preferences, and restore sessions where supported.

Native mobile applications may use secure storage instead of browser cookies.
